How do I set the removable media bit in a USB Hard drive to 1?
I've scoured the internet and so far haven't found any way to access, letalone change, the "removable media bit" on a hard drive. Currently my USB hard drive shows as a "Local Disk," and I want it to instead be registered as a "Removable Disk." The reason being that I have a suspicion that the only way my Xbox 360 will recognize it (for music/movies/photo purposes) is if that removable media bit is set to 1. The USB drive has the FAT32 file system.
you can format the usb hard drive to NTFS instead of fat 32.
